The mission of the Villa Hills Longhorns is to provide a fun, affordable baseball experience for as many kids in the Villa Hills & Crescent Springs area as possible. Because of this, the Longhorns Organization has been blessed to experience unprecedented growth over the past 10 years – with the # of players going from 15 12 years ago to over 650 today.
Balancing the needs of all our Longhorns players is extremely important to us, and that is why we’ve chosen to continue to refine our offerings to best meet the needs of ALL LONGHORNS FAMILIES & PLAYERS.
Our expectations are that 90% of our teams will fall in the Recreational or Tournament levels, with Premier teams being more rare and reliant on getting an elite coaching staff identified, and the right combination of elite players by raising the skill level year-over-year with existing players and adding new players. Every age group will not have a “Premier” team, and “Premier” status for individual teams will be determined annually by the Longhorns Board.
Once each team's competitive level is defined, head coaches – at each age & competitive level – will determine specific game & tournament schedules, tournament locations & playing time.

* National Opportunities (examples include Iowa Field of Dreams Tournament or Cooperstown Tournament) are not guaranteed, and are up to each team. They must be submitted by the coach approved by the VHLAA board.
