The intent of the Longhorns is to get the best, most affordable fees to each & every team. Our Board talks with each coach before registration opens, creating a customized price for each team based on the coach's plans around # of games, tournaments, uniforms, indoor hitting, and other things that make the fees vary by team. You can trust that the fees you see for your team are the lowest possible fees while covering all the requests from your player's coach
The fees you see for your team are "all in," meaning it covers close to 100% of the fees you will owe for the entire year. The main costs associated with the fees include uniforms, league & umpires, equipment, insurance, field maintenance, and things like Longhorns Night.
We encourage all families to "shop around" and find what option might be best for them. However, the Longhorns fees are consistently the most affordable fees in all of the Cincinnati & Northern KY area. Our teams are equipped with great uniforms, great equipment, and play in local games all while keeping fees as low as possible. The Longhorns Board of Directors are 100% volunteers, so 100% of the fees collected go directly back to the teams & players as well as improvements to our Franzen & Villa Madonna fields.
The Longhorns work with EVERY family, and we are proud to say that - in our 10+ years of providing baseball & softball to our families - we have never turned down a family for monetary reasons. If you need work to be given more time to pay, you should email VillaHillsLonghorns@gmail.com and we will work together to develop a plan. However, we can't do that if you don't reach out!
Yes, we try to meet every request that is made for friends or coaches, especially at our younger ages, especially on our Tee Ball, Machine Pitch, and 8U baseball and 8U softball teams. As players get older and teams get more competitive, the first priority becomes making our teams prepared for the competition they face. So there are times when "Friend Requests" may not be an option based on individual players skill levels or the needs of the team. If you have a request, you should include it in the "Comments" section when registering your player
